Not exactly... What I mean by that is the same menu is offered, but doesn't have the history and the "seasoning" created by time.

Always love Varsity. First time at this location. Food was exactly the same!! Not as busy as the original but just as fast. The only negative was a couple of the order takers. They looked bored and didn’t greet us. If it was my first time...it would have distracted me from the food. Maybe they were just having a bad day.
Its where my daughter wanted to go for her 14th Birthday
Always quick and greasy, like you should expect. It's a burger/hotdog spot. Onion rings and fries are great too. They don't just have chilli dogs but also chill burgers. And an old relative of mine used to love the frozen orange slushy. It has an old dinner feel on the inside.
The burger was dried out. The chili dog was wilted and barely warm. The onion rings and fries were fresh and tasty. I won't eat here again.
First time here. Had the double cheeseburger and onion rings. Onion rings tasted like they were hands breaded in premises. Cheeseburger was pretty standard. Had a delicious frosted orange shake. It was extremely good!,
Love going to Varsity. No wait there and hotdogs are great. It is a great experience to visit Varsity.
I'm generous with the 3* rating due to the great times I had eating at the Varsity in my youthWell I'm sad to say those great times are long gone, the prices are now higher than comparable places, the food is even "more average" than it was, had a peach fried pie a la mode, the quality of the the pies has gone down a lotI guess some things have a life cycle, and it seems like The Varsity has run its life cycle, I'm sad to say this was likely the last time I'll ever eat thereTo summarize , I can't recommend eating at this place
I was suprized at how fast the food came out
second to none. No trip to the ATL is complete without the varsity.
Always love the varsity at any location, has always been a must visit when traveling since we do not have a location in Augusta. Simple and affordable, never disappoints. Make sure you get chili and slaw on anything you order and don't leave without a frozen O
what will ya have!.... IT WAS AS GOOD AS I REMEMBER EATING AT THE ONE IN ATLANTA. I have been a Varsity ORANGE person for about 60 years.
Awesome food!! This location"s drive thr was quick!
I love this joint they have the best food in the world
My favorite meal at The Varsity is 2 chili dogs with onion rings. The Varsity is popular with young and old alike.
I love the varsity. Best onion rings ever!
One of my favorite place to eat I was in atlanta today I live in macon we don't have one
The cheese burger and slaw dog was good. Better than McDonald and In and Out, not close Five Guys. Pricey! I think the food is not aligned well with the price. Burgers were not big and were not juicy. Drive thru was quick!
One of the worst restaurants we've been to. Food was awful, person taking the order was terrible, couldn't answer any questions, rang up the order wrong, and wanted to charge us more for his mistake after we received the wrong food. The lady cleaning the bathrooms was very nice though, best and only nice part of the experience, the only staff member that smiled.
I love the Varsity. Very happy I don't have to go to Atlanta.
We picked up Varsity for Father's Day. It's one of my Daddy's favorites from when he was a very young man and worked at Firehouse 11 on North Ave, just down the street from "The Varsity". This meal delivered what it should have. It tasted right, was prepared properly and the service was Varsity friendly. Of course, the fries and rings were slightly on the greasy side, but that's how they are supposed to be. The chili dogs tasted just like I remember from when my Mama and Daddy would take me to the Varsity in town, in my footie pajamas, 50 years ago. We would get the car hop service and I would fall asleep on the way home. Finally, the PCs and the fried peach pies were perfect. Way back, the PCs didn't come in a little carton, but in a cup, just like any other drink. You can still get a cup of ice and they still taste great. It tasted like Varsity should taste. Bringing back great memories on Fathers Day.
I love this place. They have the best chilli burger and onion rings in the world.
It is historically good. Prices are high. Food is good
Doesn't have the same nostalgia as the downtown location, and that is really the only reason to come here. The food is significantly over priced, so greasy you could wring it out and use the grease to cook something else and overall just isn't excellent, or even worth coming back to (typical Georgian establishment). The sweet potato pie was grease soaked to the point it fell apart in my hands and the whole experience was simply subpar. I don't believe I'll ever step foot in another Varsity restaurant again, as I'd like to live past 45, and eating this grease soaked food will cause you to have a heart attack earlier in life. Simply disgusting. Food came out quick and the staff was friendly for what little that is worth.
I'm sorry can we say no I know that the varsity is a staple Landmark however unless you want to come out smelling like old cook french fry grease and fried burgers lol..no thank you and the food is just that food nothing more nothing less but hey it could be a fun place to take a kid I'm just saying it's not for me and my friend
Love this place. Peach pie and Orange Frost is a must everytime.
Heard about this place so I thought I’d give it try. Underwhelming really. Food tasted good and was served very quickly. But the lines were long and there was one register open. May or may not return.
A step back in time , “ what’ll ya haveâ€
I love coming to the varsity in kennesaw. All the great food at the one downtown without the crowds. Service is always fast and the food is always delicious.
Great fries, onion rings and hot dogs.
It's a memory from childhood. Mostly older folks there today. The apple pie is still amazing! Burgers and fries were good
Can never go wrong with the varsity. Staff and ownership are awesome! Don't come to Georgia without going to the varsity at least once. A southern staple.
They have the best orange slushy in town!! There chili cheese hot are the best!! I absolutely love The varsity. I've been coming here every since I was a little kid.
Good food but no one said what do you have
I think that from the other locations around Atlanta area this is the best so far.
The chili dogs are wonderful, in fact all the food is good except for their French fries The service is timely
As usual great hot dogs and peach pie.
So the google website states y'all are open. I called to verify, no it says y'all are open as well. I drove from Marietta and guess what?!?! Y'all have lied on both. Won't be back. Trying to support another restaurant considering I work for another restaurant, but i won't ever be back. Best of luck and have a blessed day!!
This place was okay because the food somewhat reminded me of when I was in elementary the fries were very good and I'm assuming the milkshakes are amazing because I'm all about milkshakes but don't get me wrong it is a nice place I just think the food needs a bit more work and other than that it's a very calm place that has a kick back to it but to me the food just didn't make an A+
We love this location! Have been going since opening day! They always treat us like family! We have watched several of them climb the ranks from cashier into managerial positions. The food is always fresh. Service is always given with a smile and is quick.
While there're better burgers in the city, you can't beat the price or the speed of these burgers. They've certainly earned they're reputation and I can see how they've managed to stay in business for 99 years.
Will serve cold everything to reduce crowded line. The food has never ever been hot nor warm. To much grease from pies and fries. The French fries had been reduced from long string French fries to chop cut in halves French fries like steak and shake. Employees predominantly Haitian workers mostly with attitudes and and never smile but this place is clean at all times. Value for money is $2.00 more than it should be but okay for the tourist or large groups. Safe place, secure all times. Parking tremendous handicap accessible.
They are always consistent and the food is good. Very quick service.
Saw this place on Hotdog Paradise, so when we were traveling in Georgia we had to stop.Very Tasty, Would definitely Come Back
Awesome food and great customer service
The Legendary resturant, great people work there.
Pretty good place for a quick bite. The hotdogs were tasty but the kids thought they order chilli cheese dogs but there was no cheese...their mistake of course but they were just a bit disappointed. The orange frozen drink was so good! I took a star away for service, I asked for a peach pie and the order taker could not understand what o was asking. I had to say it 3 times and she kept asking me if I wanted a drink....a bit frustrating. Other than that it was a great place to stop and eat we.
I have eaten at the varsity since I was weened off the bottle after birth. I now live in Florida but every so often I have friends FedEx me my usual order. When in Atlanta it's the first place a stop to eat. BUT. today I went by and discovered they now do NOT sell the famous PC.A varsity hot dog without a PC...this sux
This is literally the most overrated restaurant in the Atlanta area. It's overpriced for a terrible burger and hotdogs. I will say the fries are edible but still not enough to get past that one star. My mind was blown to see all of the good reviews.
We love The Varsity. My ‘go to’ is the slaw dog and it never disappoints. The fries are delicious. We make it a point to visit here whenever we are in the area.
If you're from out of state, you've got to do the original location downtown for the whole experience, but how wonderful that us locals have satellite locations for a quick bite or get together. Large, open, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the same great dogs, burgers and shakes! An Atlanta experience that's been going on for 90 years!
